For the Manga Artist in You
Draw Manga teaches you to draw manga characters. The characters or models are categorised as Chibi, Girl, Boy and Other. There are around 6-8 different characters in each category. Tapping on one shows you a step by step drawing tutorial, starting from pencil outlines to finishing touches and colour. A number on the top shows your progress. You can go back in case you missed a detail, or go forward, by tapping on arrows. Each step is drawn in different colours so it isn't clumsy and you won't mix up steps. Bear in mind that you don't draw in the app itself, rather copy the steps shown elsewhere, which was perfect for me as I wanted to draw on paper.
There are also separate lessons on specific features that you may have trouble drawing - eyes, hands, silhouette, dynamic and faces, which also come with simple yet effective step by step guidelines.
There's a "create your character" option but all it says for now is that it's "coming soon." Unfortunately not all the characters are unlocked and you have to buy them to view the tutorials. A few more unlocked characters would've been great.
Draw Manga is actually helpful and fun to use, unlike other similar apps that only show you videos of tutorials. If you're a beginner aiming to improve at drawing manga characters or just someone dabbling in the art, this app is a must-install.
