Jaguar greenlights EV I-pace

Jaguar has officially entered the EV race by greenlighting the I-pace for production. The all-electric, 90 kWh lithium-ion powered crossover has a claimed range of 480 km and features rapid charging that will get the EV charged up by 80% in as little as 40 minutes. Conventional home charging will get 80% charge in up to 10 hours. The two electric motors aboard the I-pace is claimed to produce 395 HP and 513 lb-ft of torque, which propels the Jag to 60 MPH in just 4.8 seconds despite the heavy load of a battery pack. There's connected car tech - a "learning" onboard AI and seamless over-the-air updates for its software as well. Will the Jag truly challenge Tesla and become the first solid EV hit from a mainstream manufacturer?
