Shakib's base price 1cr rupees
The base price for Shakib Al Hassan, who went ignored in previous Indian Premier League (IPL), has been set at 1 crore rupees this year.
Shakib, who despite being the number one all rounder in one day cricket, was ignored by all teams in the 2009 IPL. Neither did he get a chance to play at 2010's Indian Premier League.
But in next auction, a bidding war between Kings Eleven Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders, the latter finally got to buy Shakib at a value of 4 lakh Dollars (more than 2 crore rupees).
This year, 11 Bangladeshi players have taken part in the bidding. Shohag Gazi, Enamul Haq, Rubel Hassan, Mahmudullah and Nasir Hossain has been set a base price of 30 lakh rupees. On the other hand Tamim Iqbal's minimum bidding price has been set at 50 lakh rupees.
The auction is set to be held on the 12 and 13 of February at Bengaluru in India.
