Rtv Star Award today

The Diamond World-Rtv Star Award-2013 is set to be held today, honouring the best of Rtv's programmes from January 1 to December 31, 2013. Awards will be given in a total of 28 categories, including screenwriter, director, actors, singers, dancers and musicians, at the Gala event at Hotel Sonargaon today. Eminent artist Mustafa Monwar will be conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award at the third installment of the annual awards, for his contributions to the development of arts and culture in the country. Rtv will telecast the programme from 6pm.
The winners have been chosen by nomination from a panel of noted cultural personalities, and through SMS vote by viewers, informed the channel's CEO Syed Ashik Rahman.
