Quader hints at reshuffle in cabinet
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today hinted that the cabinet may be reshuffled to bring dynamism in the government’s activities ahead of the upcoming 11th parliamentary election.
“It’s prime minister’s jurisdiction. I can’t say when the reshuffle will be made but I can sense that the change will be brought,” Quader said while talking to reporters at his office in Dhaka this noon.
Responding to a query over fresh inception of deputy prime minister post, Quader said, “It’s nothing but a blatant rumors.”
Expressing hopes that the next general election will be held in an inclusive and impartial manner, Quader said the government will extend its all-out cooperation to the Election Commission to make the election successful.
“We will carry out our jobs just as routine works and army will remain under control of the Election Commission,” he added.
It is election commission’s decision whether army will be used as striking forces during the election, Quader replied to a questioner.
About BNP’s stance over the election roadmap, Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said BNP has lost its path.
Earlier, Quader held a meeting with Australian delegation at the Setu Bhaban in the capital’s Mohakhali area and discussed the country’s contemporarily affairs including development and politics.
