Movement at appropriate time: BNP
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today vowed that his party would take to the streets at an appropriate time to uphold the dream of the party founder Ziaur Rahman.
“We will fight on the streets until the last drop of our blood to materialise the dream of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman,” he said while addressing a book launching ceremony at Institution of Engineers’ Bangladesh in Dhaka.
Claiming that his party was on the streets in the past and will do the same again to wage a tough movement against the ruling Awami League, he said there is no option but to take to the streets.
Pro-BNP journalist Abdul Hye Sikdar wrote the books—Jotirmoy Zia [enlightened Zia] and Kalomegher Dal [Black Cloud].
Fakhrul said in the last eight years over a thousand of BNP men lost their lives due to government sponsored torture and repression.
