Gross violation of human rights: Khaleda
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has observed that the country’s human rights situation deteriorated significantly due to the repression and oppression of the ruling party.
“These are very dark times. The illegal government has snatched people’s democratic rights. Human rights are grossly violated,” Khaleda said in a press statement today.
Khaleda Zia also a former prime minister came up with the observation marking the World Human Rights Day tomorrow.
People are insecure as opposition party men, human rights activists, students, teachers, children and women are being victimised of enforced disappearances and extra judicial killings, she alleged.
“We will have to enforce unity to establish democracy in the country and to rid the misdeeds of the government,” Khaleda said.
