JS polls won’t wait for Khaleda: Quader
The general elections will be held in due time without caring of anyone’s punishment, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said today.
“The parliamentary polls will not wait if anyone is punished by the court,” he said while talking to journalists after inaugurating a beautification project in front of Radisson Hotel on Airport Road in Dhaka.

"It is not government’s job rather punishing or acquitting anyone is an affair of the court," Quader, also the minister for road transport and bridges, said, claiming that the national election will be held at due time.
The minister said, “Time and tide wait for none. Similarly the polls will not wait for anyone. It will be held as per the constitution.”
He came up with the comment responding to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's threat that no election will be held in the country if Khaleda Zia is jailed.
