Cops couldn’t raid without PM's permit: Rizvi
Law enforcers could not have raided BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office without directives of the prime minister, BNP alleged today.
Rizvi Ahmed, BNP’s senior joint secretary general, came up with the allegation before reporters at the party’s Nayapaltan central office today.
On Saturday, in a surprise move, police raided Khaleda's Gulshan office to "seize materials for carrying out anti-state and subversive activities".

They found nothing during the more than two-hour-long search.
Rizvi, however, said that BNP hoped that police will allow them to hold a rally at the capital’s Suhrawardy Udyan tomorrow.
“We have already filed an application seeking permission for holding the rally,” Rizvi said.
