BNP to win if fair polls held: Khaleda
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today said that her party will win in the next general election scheduled for early 2019 if it is held in a transparent and credible manner.
“We will participate in the 11th national polls and will win if it is held in a credible manner,” Khaleda said while addressing an iftar party in Dhaka this evening.
Citing several instances of natural calamities including the worst landslide in three hill districts that killed 142 people so far, Khaleda said people’s suffering climbs up when Awami League comes to power.
Claiming that no election was held in 2014 in the country, Khaleda said no foreign country except India extended support to the present government.
“Now, our neighbor has changed its voice as they realised their mistakes by supporting Awami League,” she said.
