CEC hopes BNP will take part in next polls
Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda today expressed his hope that BNP would take part in the next general elections expected to be held in late 2018, reports Prothom Alo.
He expressed his optimism while talking to reporters after inaugurating voters' registration programme at Siddheswari in the capital today.

CEC Huda claimed the BNP leaders during their meetings held in different times assured him that the party will join the next general elections, the Prothom Alo reported.
The election commission began collection of photographs and fingerprints of eligible voters, who filled voter registration forms earlier this year, at specific voter registration centres in Dhaka city.
Mentioning that the BNP is going to join the EC-sponsored dialogue, Huda said, “So, joining the dialogue means they will definitely participate in the polls.

The BNP is scheduled to join a dialogue with the Election Commission (EC) on Sunday.
The party earlier boycotted the 5 January 2014 general elections.
The commission began talks with the civil society leaders and registered political parties on 31 July this year before going for making arrangements to hold the next crucial general elections.
