AL to face BNP politically: Quader
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said his party will face BNP politically if the party goes for a movement over formation of the new Election Commission.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister ruled out the possibility of holding talks with BNP and said, “Unrealistic proposal will not bring change in anything as there is no scope or time to hold anymore talks on formation of the new Election Commission.”
He was talking to reporters while Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) was carrying out road safety campaign at Manik Miah Avenue in Dhaka this noon.
“BNP warns of waging movement, no matter but it will be paid befittingly if the movement turns violent,” he threatened.
About BNP leader Moudud Ahmed’s warning that the party will wage a tougher movement if the talks go in vain, Quader expressed his doubt about the movement and said Awami League does not care of such threat.
