In photos: The world's highest and longest glass-bottomed bridge
Designed to give visitors the feeling of being suspended in air, when complete in July the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge will become the highest, longest and, arguably, the most terrifying pedestrian bridge in the world. Hovering 300 meters (984 feet) above the ground, the bridge is designed to accommodate 800 people and is located in Zhangjiajie National Park, one of the inspirations for James Cameron's 2009 film "Avatar."
