Man marries robot after failing to find life partner
Nowadays, marriages and getting married have become somewhat complicated than it traditionally was.
Most of the times, men and women want to settle with their careers before settling in with their life partners. And then again there's the complicacy of finding a perfect match. Phew!
One such sufferer of not being able to find out a perfect match as life partner is a Chinese engineer Zheng Jiajia, 31.
Zheng had only one option and he took it and married his own robot.
Being frustrated after repeatedly failing to find a girlfriend Zheng not only created a female robot all for himself but also married it last Friday, according to a report published in the South China Morning Post today.
The Chinese engineer has "married" a robot he created after failing to find a human spouse on March 31, the report says.
Zheng, an artificial intelligence expert who designs and creates robots in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, created the "female" robot at the end of last year, South China Morning Post reported quoting Qianjiang Evening News.
The robot, which he named Yingying, can identify Chinese characters and images and even say a few simple words, the report said.
One of his friends told the newspaper that Zheng had grown frustrated after failing to find a girlfriend.
The report said Zheng planned to upgrade his robot "wife" to enable her to walk and even help out with household chores.
