Khaleda on way to Satkhira
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia left Dhaka for Satkhira Wednesday afternoon to meet the family members of those killed in the recent violence in the district.
Khaleda, also the leader of the opposition in parliament, started from her Gulshan residence in the capital for the southwestern district around 4:00pm.
She is accompanied by BNP Vice Chairman Selima Rahman and party's standing committee member Mirza Abbas.
As per her schedule, she will stay overnight at Jessore Circuit House and started for Satkhira around 11:00am Thursday.
The BNP chief will go to Kalaroa upazila of Satkhira where she will meet with the families of the victims who were killed in violence between February 28 and March 3.
She will also provide the family members with financial assistance.
Khaleda is scheduled to address a rally at Satkhira Government High School ground in the district town in the afternoon.
She is scheduled to return to the capital on Thursday night.
