Jamaat-Shibir activists attacked a police team, leaving six policemen injured, and snatched away a firearm while the law enforcers were raiding Morshidpur village in Bagha upazila in Rajshahi Sunday night.

The attackers snatched away Bagha poura ameer Nuhu Sarker, who was arrested by the police, and a revolver from Sub-Inspector Nuruzzaman of Bagha Police Station, said Alamgir Kabir, Superintendent of Police in Rajshahi.

"We are now busy recovering the police arms," said the SP.
