Ctg ports activities resume

Shah Amanat International Airport and Maritime Port of Chittagong, had been shut down on Wednesday due to inclement weather caused by cyclone Mahasen, started their regular operations Friday morning.
A private airliner of Regent Airways from Dhaka touched down on the tarmac at 10:00am, an airways official told The Daily Star.
A total of 44 cargo barges and 31 other vessels, had been sent to the outer anchorage for their safety during the storm surge, will enter the port with high tide, Syed Farhad Uddin Ahmed, Chittagong Port Authority secretary, told The Daily Star.
The authorities of Chittagong airport closed the airport on Wednesday afternoon while the CPA authority halted the loading and unloading activities in the port in the morning.
The CPA meanwhile resumed the port operation on Thursday afternoon after the cyclone crossed Bangladesh coastline.
