Unilever stands by Sidr-hit people

Unilever Bangladesh Limited has stood by the Sidr-affected people of Char Nazir area in Patuakhali.
In association with Bangladesh Army and Disaster Management Committee of Patuakhali district, Unilever Bangladesh Limited recently provided 75 houses, 75 sanitary latrines, a shop with capital money, five deep tubewells and 25 cattle for rehabilitation and employment of the people of Char Nazir area, says a press release.
The rehabilitation programme took place under the 'Project Light House' that was inaugurated by Chief of Army Staff General Moeen U Ahmed.
Gen Moeen urged different commercial organisations to come forward to be involved with such social welfare activities. He also urged the people of Char Nazir area for making the maximum use of the land and expected that it would help increased production of crops.
GOC of 55 Infantry Division Major General Rafiqul Islam, Customer Development Director of Unilever Bangladesh Limited Mizanur Rashid and Deputy Commissioner of Patuakhali Moshiur Alam were also present.
