'Missing' man's skeleton found
Police recovered a skeleton from an abandoned safety tank of Agaroani primary school at village Agaroani in Sadar upazila on Saturday afternoon.
Abdur Rahim of village Shibnagar in the same upazila claimed that the skeleton is of his son Palash, 16, who went missing on March 7 last year, police said.
Palash used to work as a guard at a shrimp enclosure owned by Yakub Ali at Agardari in Sadar upazila and the victim's father Abdur Rahim filed a case with Sadar Police Station against Yakub Ali of village Shibnagar, police said.
After investigation police submitted charge sheet against Yakub Ali with a Satkhira court on December 11 last year and later police arrested Yakub Ali.
Palsh's father Abdur Rahim said he identified the skeleton as his son's after seeing silver chain on his neck, shoes and shirt.
Identity of the skeleton would be ascertained after DNA test, Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Kader Beg said.
