ACC DG withdrawn
The director general (special enquiry) of Anti-Corruption Commission was withdrawn and sent to his previous office yesterday.
The official, Khondakar Muhammad Aminur Rahman, was transferred to the ACC from the National Bureau of Revenue in October last year.
Talking to The Daily Star late night, ACC Commissioner Mohammad Sahabuddin said nobody had replaced Aminur yet.
"The government can withdraw any of its officials from any position as well as transfer him/her anytime. But the appointment at the ACC depends on the ACC's choice."
Contacted, Aminur Rahman said, "I have learnt that the government has sent me back to NBR."
