Tamim to go Down Under for check-up
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to send opener Tamim Iqbal to Australia for checkup.
BCB's cricket operations committee took the decision as the dashing left-hander had been experiencing lingering pain in an old injury.
"He will go to Australia as soon as he gets the visa. We have decided to send him to Australia for checkup because we thought he will at least be mentally satisfied. We took the decision after discussing the matter with our physio (Michael Henry)," said Enayet Hossain Siraj, chairman of the cricket operations committee.
After a long break, Tamim returned to bat last Monday and complained that there was still pain on the injured left-hand and he was not feeling good when batting.
Tamim incurred the injury during an ODI in Chittagong against India on November 5 last year, which he aggravated during a domestic match last season.
