National Hackathon winners announced!

After 36 hours of marathon programming the national hackathon came to an end, where developers worked to bring about technological solutions to the 10 national problems. This event, the biggest of its kind, started last week at the Dhaka Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB). Ten teams have won in the 10 categories of national problems. To help implement their projects, Tk. 20 lakh of innovation fund is being provided by the ICT division.
The winners in each category are: for Traffic Jam Solution, team GravityBD from AUST University. For Road Safety, team Mobio Men from MobioApp Limited. For Cyclone Center Management, team UIU Ambassadors, from UIU University. For Sexual & Reproductive Health, team Buddies_Dream from UITS University. For Sanitation, team Cosmuter from Rajshahi. For Non Communicable Diseases, team BRACU_HENNK, from BRAC University. For Sexual Harassment, team RITL Daak from Rupom IT Ltd. For Corruption, team TrillionPixel from Brac University. For Water Transportation Security, team Brain Station 23. For Question Paper Leak, team Trimatrik from Daffodil International University.
At the closing ceremony of the national hackathon, the chief guest was State Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Yafes Osman. Special guests at the event were:  Additional Secretary of ICT Division Kamal Uddin Ahmed, and Joint Secretary of the same division, Shama Prasad Bepari; President of the Institute of Diploma Engineers, Eng. A.K.M.Hamid; CEO of Qubee, D. S. Faisal Haider. Also present were Managing Director of EATL, M. A. Mubin Khan; Managing Director of BD Venture Shawkat Hossain, and Project Director of Ministry of Science and Technology, Mina Masud Uz Zaman. The closing ceremony was conducted by the CEO of MCC Ltd. Ashraf Abir.
A total of 1614 programmers worked relentlessly to come up with solutions of these 10 national problems. Organized by the ICT Division, the hackathon was implemented by MCC Limited. Partners of the event were EATL, BASIS, Symphony, Grameenphone, Robi, SolQuest, Google Developer Group, Better Stories, HiFiPublic and BD Venture Ltd.
