Nagorik Somaj sends letters to President, PM and BNP chief for dialogue
Civil society members today sent three separate letters to the President, Prime Minister and BNP chairperson, requesting them to take initiatives from their respective positions for holding a dialogue to end the ongoing political crisis.
Titled “National Dialogue to Resolve National Crisis”, the letters were signed by ATM Shamsul Huda, former chief election commissioner, on behalf of the Nagorik Somaj, a platform of the civil society member.
“I earnestly request you as the guardian of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to take a good initiative for dialogue and play a significant role in light of the proposals”, the letter sent to the president, reads.
The letter that was sent to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sincerely requested her as the chief of the government to take the same initiative to pave the way for a dialogue.
The Nagorik Somaj also expected good initiative from the BNP chief Khaleda Zia in light of the proposals.
