Muggers stab 2 for Tk 30 lakh

Muggers snatched away Tk 30 lakh after stabbing two employees of an agent of bKash Ltd, a subsidiary of Brac Bank, in the capital’s Nawabganj this afternoon.

Kazi Mainul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Hazaribagh Police Station, told The Daily Star that the incident took place around 4:00pm when some employees of the agent were going to deposit the money to the local branch of the bank.

He added a gang of three to four muggers stabbed Jony and Any -- employees of the bKash agent in Kamrangirchar area, and took away the money.

Badruddin Mamun, the agent, filed a case with the police station against some unidentified people in connection with the snatching.
