'MH17 crash: Unlikely that air-to-air missile used'
Based on military intelligence and the remains found of MH17, it was impossible that an air-to-air missile was used to take down the plane said Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein.
"It was a surface-to-air missile and in that area, such a system could be available to the Ukrainian side or the rebel forces," Hishammuddin told reporters after opening the Bera Umno Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings meeting Saturday, reports Malaysian daily The Star.
It was reported that intelligence analysts in the United States had already concluded that the plane was shot down by an air-to-air missile, and that the Ukrainian government had something to do with it.
