What's in hair?
Life is too short to have boring hair. It really is. Gone are the days of the similar and traditional hairstyles which whole generations of our forefathers sported. Men are now more conscious about their personal style, and hair plays a vital role in creating ones persona.
Hairstyles vary in cuts, patterns and textures, and need to be in accordance with one's facial structure. Here are some of the hairstyles that have been the rage this year, and men from all backgrounds, models, actors, sportsmen around the world, and general people of the country are seen to favour.
The undercut hairstyle has been a big hair trend on the runway and the editorial looks. Popularised in fashion, it is now seen on many celebrities, and the general men have started opting for it too.
The classic undercut is a bit conservative, which leaves the top hair in medium length, with the sides trimmed. It is for those men who don't want to experiment too much and would rather stay on the safer side, as well as try the current trends in a small way. With a dab of any hair gel or mousse, this cut can be styled and kept polished.
The layered undercut is for the men who would want to add fullness and volume to the hair. The layer will work to add volume to hair effectively.
The side-swept version of the undercut looks best in pompadour-esque styling. Justin Timberlake simply rocked this style. It is a lot like the slicked back undercut, one would need longer proportions up top so that the slicking of the hair works well with the shorter sides of the haircut. The key to pulling off the side swept undercut is to make sure that the hair is parted the right way. This differs for everyone, so ensure that you are choosing the best part for your face. This is generally determined by which way the hair naturally falls.
The slick back undercut style would require longer hair on top, for styling. The hair needs to be combed nicely to make it look flat, and for it to hold. Taming the longer hair can be hard, hence to make it look polished, a good quality hair product is needed.
The Caesar haircut is a popular buzz cut. It is named after the Roman Emperor Julius Caesar, who styled his hair forward, creating a short fringe. The Caesar haircut is a good choice for balding men or for guys who simply want short, fashionable hair. George Clooney and Gerard Butler have rocked this style with aplomb. The short length of the style makes it easy to maintain, and incredibly simple to spike. With a dab of cream or styling gel, the spiked look can be achieved in a matter of seconds, and will stay in place all day, with little to no maintenance required.
The side part hairstyle is a sexy trend that works well for all men, but for men with long enough hair to sweep it over, it is the perfect look. Ideal for the man in a hurry who doesn't want to put a lot of time and effort into making his hair look great – this look can be achieved in a few minutes. Simply part the hair on the side of your head, and sweep it over to one side. Use either a right or left part – whatever works best for your natural flow.
And lastly, the classic simple short style is perfect for the Dhaka heat. It requires keeping the hair a little longer on the top, with sides and the back short. It's perfect for those who want a no-muss-no-fuss hairstyle, with the freedom to play with the look from time to time. A little hair gel and tussle of the hair will create a spiked or bedhead look in a few minutes.
