BLESSINGS ONLY!
When it comes to her own wedding, bottled-up romance untangle in a mix of nostalgic recollections, an obsession for a near-perfect wedding, and the apprehensions of an unpredictable future, which she probably sets aside for the time being in bids to live the present.
While the bride is the 'show stopper' at a wedding, the husband has his own intimidations. The common perception that men have no interest in 'fairytale weddings', is quite obviously WRONG! Although no more than 'lifeless' mannequins expected only to sit beside the beautiful bride on the stage, while a near thousand pair of eyes ogle at the pair, dissecting everything, from whether they are 'eye-candy' to the selection of the wedding trousseau, to whether kachchi served, which more often than not, as the common belief goes — could have been a little less oily! Yet, his own dreams are there, veiled behind plastic smiles directed at guests he has never met, and probably never will.
All said above is just one side of the coin. The slip side — is often taken for granted.
“Marriages are made in heaven” — argue as you may, there is little doubt that weddings are special; it is a union of two people, the making of a bond between families allowing culture and tradition proliferate within a community.
Celebrations — even for no particular reason — is a human necessity and weddings are the pinnacle of festivity, irrespective of where you are in the globe.
