Renowned Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan has just confirmed that she will be appearing in an upcoming film called “Rajkahini”. The film will be directed by Indian director Srijit Mukherji, centered on the 1947 East Bengal and Indian separation. Alongside Jaya, the cast will include Sabitri Chatyapaddhay, Jishu Sengupta, Kaushik Sen, Rituporna and Bratya Basu. When asked about her role, she said that she isn't allowed to discuss it yet; the director has requested her to remain silent on the matter. According to Jaya, discussions for this movie began a few years earlier when she met the director Srijit at the Singapore Film Festival, where the director shared his idea with her about a film based on the 1947 India-East Bengal Seperation. Jaya said “The shooting is expected to  be held in Bangladesh and Kolkata starting from November 2014.”
