Hasina to be sued for killing 20-party men: BNP

BNP today threatened Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that she would be sued for masterminding the killing of the 20-party alliance leaders and activists in the name of upholding the country’s law and order.
“The BNP-led 20-party alliance leaders and activists are being victimised of intentional killing by joint forces. The prime minister will be held responsible for the killings,” BNP Joint Secretary General Salauddin Ahmed made the threat in a press statement this afternoon.
The armed law enforcers are carrying out the “killing spree”. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would be put in the dock and the day is not far away, he warned.
In the statement, he also said the government has shut all doors of disciplined anti-government movement and snatched away people’s rights to speak freely and the freedom of the press.
Terming the government fascist, he said the administration is encouraging the extremism in the country. The country’s democracy is on the verge of collapse. The ruling Awami League will be held responsible if the democracy is hindered due to the government’s rigid stance, he said.
Citing the deaths of the 20-party alliance leaders and activities in so-called shootout with police, Salauddin lambasted the government and demanded fair trial of all killing incidents.
He also blasted the government for arresting BNP Chairperson Khaleda’s adviser Mosaddak Ali Falu and demanded his immediate unconditional release.
