Cameron promises that the Avatar
sequels will make your jaw drop!
Cameron is at least delegating writing duties this time, with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver penning Avatar 2, Josh Friedman writing Avatar 3 and Shane Salerno working on Avatar 4. The films will be shot back-to-back and are rumored to have a collective production budget of around $1 billion. It'll be worth it, according to Cameron in a new interview with Empire. When asked about the storylines of the upcoming films, the director responded jovially, “They're gonna be b***hin'. You will s**t yourself with your mouth wide open.” Rather than simply handing off writing duties to each of the screenwriters with a basic story framework, the initial story development process was collaborative and involved Cameron sitting down with all four writers to work on the plots for all the sequels. Avatar 2 is set for release in December 2016, with Avatar 3 and Avatar 4 following in 2017 and 2018.

I suffer from stage fright every single time: Farhan Akhtar
Bollywood actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar says for him getting onto a stage to perform is like jumping out of a plane and he is yet to shake off that fright. When asked whether he suffered from stage fright, Farhan told reporters here: "Every single time! I equate it to jumping out of a plane. I have done 100-plus jumps by now, but every time I go to the door, there's always that one little element of 'what if'? at the back of my head. But once you jump off, it's just incredible. "Even during my concerts, I get that same feeling when I walk up the stairs to the stage. I take a deep breath, but it's always good after that," he said. The multi-faceted Akhtar is performing live for the first time at a music festival this year, at the Windsong music festival.
NATALIE PORTMAN in Talks for Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs Biopic
For a project that has acquired one high-profile talent after another, the Aaron Sorkin-scripted, Danny Boyle-directed biopic of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs has had quite a troubling pre-production phase. In the past few weeks, the film lost star Christian Bale and switched homes from Sony to Universal after the former put it in turnaround. That said, for every negative development, there's a positive one. As Boyle still hunts for the man who would be Jobs (Michael Fassbender is the latest name to pop up), he's also working on rounding out his supporting cast. He already may have Seth Rogen on board to play Steve Wozniak, and according to a new report, he has attracted another A-lister to join the film: Natalie Portman!
Interstellar Soars Past $500 Million
Christopher Nolan's sci-fi extravaganza Interstellar has crossed $500 million in its first month! Although the first week's take was low, extended domestic Thanksgiving weekend and overseas audiences flocking to the picture's hopeful message about the future of humanity among the stars has helped revived the film's takings. After a start that fell short of loftier expectations and became the first Nolan film since 2002′s Insomnia to fail to take first place at the box office on opening weekend, there was speculation about whether the director's latest film would even be able to top $500 million if it lacked the legs of Nolan's more recent productions. In China, Interstellar is already closing in on $100 million after its second weekend in release there, while it remains a phenomenon in South Korea where its already topped $50 million and continues to do strong business. For comparison, Inception crossed $500 million worldwide on its fifth weekend of release, while Interstellar has done so in four weeks.
