Govt, Rab must compensate Limon: Readers
Happy that Limon Hossain was cleared today of the last of two criminal cases, a large number of netizens demanded that the Rab, whose members shot and maimed the college student, and the government must compensate for the damage done to him.
Comments kept pouring on when The Daily Star asked its followers on Facebook for reaction over the latest development, most extending sympathy to the hapless college student for the agony he had to suffer.
Firstly shot in the leg in 2011, Limon had to face an arms case and another one for obstructing the law enforcers from performing their duties before he underwent a long legal battle since then.
"Rab should take all responsibilities of Limon and his families. Then it will be justice!" Ashraful Alam, a Daily Star fan, wrote.
Despite the fact that both the criminal charges filed by Rab have now been dropped, many commented that Limon has yet to get justice.
"No," another Facebook fan, Gowry Dhar, wrote as many others did.
Rafi, another reader, wrote: "Government should take responsibilities for his education and make arrangement for his higher studies."
In a satiric comment, Facebook user Rashel Mahmud wrote, "If having two legs is a burden then Limon has got justice! What he gets is totally injustice."
A Twitter follower using the handle @tanimsufyani wrote: "That's kinda great. But how about his leg? Is he getting it back any soon?"
