Falu remanded again
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's adviser Mosaddak Ali Falu was today placed on a fresh five-day remand in an arson attack case.
Metropolitan Magistrate Tareq Mainul Islam Bhuiyan of Dhaka passed the order. The court also rejected his bail prayer.
Police produced Falu before the court with a ten-day remand prayer this afternoon on completion of his three-day remand in another case.
It is alleged that the BNP leader instigated the opposition activists to carry out an arson attack on a bus at Mirpur-1 on January 28 this year.
The subversive acts took place during the ongoing anti-government movement.
The case was filed with the Mirpur Model Police Station against 43 people.
Falu’s name was not mentioned in the first information report (FIR), but police said the BNP leader has to be remanded to collect information about the absconding accused.
