Youth killed over affair in Jessore

A youth was stabbed to death in Jessore town on Saturday over a love affair.

Locals took him to Jessore Medical College Hospital where he died.

The deceased was Babu Hossain Rony, 20, son of Ali Hossain of Shankarpur Golpata area in the town. He worked in Rajarhat Plastic Factory.

Witnesses said Babu Hossain was talking with his girlfriend on Friday night in Jessore Collectorate Park when a youth named Firoz stabbed him. Firoz had a conflict with Rony over a love affair for a long time, they added.

Jessore Kotwali Police Station Sub-Inspector Asad said police suspect that Rony was killed by Firoz. More details will be known after investigation, he added.
