Worker entangled to machine, dies

A worker met a tragic death after he got entangled with the belt of the machine of a mustard oil mill at Akcha village in Thakurgaon Sadar uapzila on Saturday night.

The victim was Masum Islam, 22, son of Abu Bakkar of Hariharpur village in the upazila.

The accident occurred when Masum was on duty at the mill named 'Aroni Sarishar Tel' around 7:30pm, Inspector of Thakurgaon Police Station Kafil Uddin told this correspondent over cell phone, quoting witnesses.

“On information, fire-fighters went to the spot and recovered his body.

The body was sent to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital morgue after preparing an inquest report,” he said.

An unnatural death case was filed with the police station in this connection.
