Woman, son arrested with Yaba

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a woman and his son with 40,500 Yaba tablets at Morichakandi village in Bancharampur upazila of the district early yesterday.

The arrestees are Jharna Begum, 50, of the village, and his son Sumon Mia, 24.

Major Nazmul Arefin Parag, captain of Rab-14, said on information, the elite force seized the Yaba from two speedboats.

The arrestees will be handed over to Bancharampur Police Station, he said.
