Two kids drown in Faridpur

Two children drowned in a pond at Dakkhin Tapakhola in Sadar upazila yesterday.

The victims were Tabassum Reshma, 7, daughter of Lokman Mridha and Safayet Mridha, 5, son of Jakir Mridha of the area.

Tabashun was a class one student of Komlapur Government Primary School.

Family members said “Tabassum and Safayet accidentally fell into the pond beside their house when they were playing on its bank. Later, locals rescued the kids and rushed them to Faridpur General Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
