Three fishermen found dead

The bodies of three missing fishermen were found floating in the Bay on Tuesday.

Four fishermen of Taltali upazila in Barguna went to the Bay on December 7 for catching fish. Their trawler capsized due to rough weather on December 9 and they remained missing since then.

The dead were Jasim Uddin, 35 and Sahin Mia, 32, of Chhoto Amkhola village and Ashikur Rahman Kiron, 30 of Baro Amkhola village in the upazila.

Another fisherman Ali Hossain, 34, of Amkhola village is still missing in the Bay.

They were buried at their family graveyards after namaz-e-janaza about 8:30pm at Amkhola Ashrayan housing ground, said local union parishad chairman Md Sultan Farazee.

Locals sent a trawler to rescue the missing people two days back and they found three floating bodies in the Bay, about 30km from Sonakata Bazar, a local fish landing station.
