Swiss bank deposits: ‘It’s nothing but exaggeration’
Finance Minister AMA Muhith today blasted mass media in parliament for publishing reports on money laundering to Swiss banks and said it is nothing but an exaggeration.
He said this while giving statement in parliament under section 300 of the rules of procedure of the House on resent media reports over money laundering to Swiss banks.
“Whatever the newspapers reports over the issue of the money laundering are actually accounts of wealth and money transaction,” he said. “It’s nothing but an exaggeration.”
Journalists very unethically reported the matter as money laundering that created misunderstanding in the country, he said.
“Yes, it’s true that few incidents of money laundering are taking place. But those amounts are too small to take into consideration,” he added.
