Russia, Bangladesh abolish visas for diplomats
Bangladesh Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov have signed an intergovernmental agreement on visa-free travel for diplomatic and service passports holders.
"It [the agreement] will promote private business contacts," Lavrov said after the meeting with Mahmood of the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly yesterday, reports Russian government-controlled news agency Sputnik from New York.
The 71st United Nations General Assembly started at the UN headquarters in New York on Tuesday.
“Ministers signed the agreement between the government of the Russian Federation and the government of the people's Republic of Bangladesh on the switch for the owners of visits of diplomatic and official passports (official),” according to a Facebook post on the official page of Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bangladesh.
