Rickshaw puller found dead

Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the body of a man beside the rail tracks near Melandah Station of the district yesterday.

The deceased was Mohammad Omar, 32, son of Obar Ali of Tonger Alga village in Islampur upazila. He was a rickshaw puller in Dhaka.

Locals found the body near the rail tracks in the morning and informed the railway police.

The body was sent to Jamalpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Sub-inspector of Jamalpur Railway Police Station Rashedul Islam.

Omar might have died after falling from a Dewanganj-bound train from Dhaka, the SI said.
