Rangpur Sugar Mills starts seasonal production

Rangpur Sugar Mills went into yearly production with the loading of cane into the crushing chamber in a ceremony at the compound of Mohimaganj mill on Friday.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament advocate Fazley Rabbi Mia formally inaugurated the crushing season for 2017-18.

This season, the mill is expected to produce 4,550 tonnes of sugar by crushing 70,000 tonnes of sugarcane.

A discussion meeting was presided over by Managing Director of the mill Yusuf Ali Sikder.

 Lawmaker of Gaibandha-4 Principal Abul Kalam Azad, Chief Engineer of BSFIC Haresh Ali, Gobindaganj UNO Shilabrota Karmaker, addressed, among others.
