'Punish rapists of fifth grader'

Jatiya Mahila Sangstha formed a human chain in front of Manikganj Press Club in the town yesterday, demanding immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the rapists of a fifth grader.

Chairperson of Manikganj chapter of Jatiya Mahila Sangstha Laxmi Chaterjee said police have failed to arrest any of the rapists even seven days after the incident.

Three youths raped the girl when she went to a relative's house at Kalta village in Ghior upazila with her father to celebrate puja on May 22.
