No rape evidence found in 2nd test
No symptom of rape was found in the medical test of a schoolgirl, said Dr Ismat Nasrin, medical officer of Natore Sadar Hospital, on Wednesday.
No symptom was found in the second test performed on the victim as it is too late since the incident took place on January 24, she said.
“I think it will be better to form a medical board with experts to investigate the matter,” said the doctor.
Earlier on the day, the nine-year-old girl was sent to the hospital for fresh medical test following a court order.
“It is an under-trial matter. If the court orders us to investigate further, we will do that,” said Azizul Islam, civil surgeon of Natore.
On January 24, neighbour Mahabur Rahman, 16, allegedly raped the girl at his house. Later, she was sent to Baraigram Upzaila Health Complex for medical test.
But Dr Doly Rani of the health complex did not find any evidence of rape in the test.
Later, the victim's father filed a petition with the court for a fresh medical test, said police.
SSC examinee Mahabur, accused in the rape case, is now on bail, said Shahriar Khan, officer-in-charge of Baraigram Police Station.
