Nine arrested while entering Bangladesh
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested nine people, including three women, while they were entering the country from India through Raghunathpur border point in Benapole on Tuesday night.
Later, BGB members handed over the arrestees to Benapole Port Police Station.
Nayek Subedar Abdul Matin of BGB Raghunathpur Border Outpost said the BGB arrested them during a raid while they were trying to enter Bangladesh without any valid document.
The arrestees were identified as Selina Khatun, 17, Kohinur Begum, 28, Jerina Khatun, 23, Ejajul Haque, 35, Sumon Mia, 33, Sohel Ali, 24, Kahinur Begum, 45, Kazal Mia, 26, and Abdur Rab, 42, hailing from Narail, Satkhira and Bagerhat.
