HSTU winter vacation begins
Hajee Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) declared winter vacation from Monday due to protests of students and teachers.
The authorities concerned came up with the decision at the Regent Board meeting of the university in Dhaka on Monday, said Dr Shahadat Hossain Khan, a member of the board.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The students were asked to vacant halls by yesterday noon after the vacation was announced.
The vacation was supposed to begin on December 21.
