Cop murder suspect held

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a murder suspect and another youth in Dhopepukur area of Shibganj upazila yesterday.

They also recovered 506 bottles of Phensidyl, a pistol, one magazine and two bullets from their possession, said Sayeed Abdullah Al Murad, commander of Chapainawabganj Rab camp.

The arrestees are murder suspect Sirajul Mollick alias Siraj, 40, son of Abdul Awala Mollick of Nalchhiti in Jhalakathi, and Monir Hossain, 36, son of Abdul Motaleb of Fatulla in Narayanganj.

Sirajul drove a Phensidyl-laden truck, over two policemen in Shibganj on March 3, 2016.
