7 arrested on Satkhira border

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) yesterday arrested seven people, including a Rohingya woman, on Toluigachha border in the district.

They were arrested while trying to enter Bangladesh from India.

The arrestees are Halima Khatun, 27, her daughter Sumona, 8, Sonia Akter, 22, Parvin Khatun, 27, her son Akash  Sarder, 6, Nizamuddin, 18, and Yasmin, 20. Yasmin is a Rohingya living in Kutupalong camp in Cox's Bazar.

Toluigachha Border Outpost Havildar Humayun Kabir said they arrested them from near Toluigachha Mathpara border main pillar No 13. The arrestees were handed over to Sadar Police Station, he said.
