4 fraudsters arrested

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-8) arrested four alleged members of a gang engaged in bKash fraud and mugging from Miapara village in Bhanga upazila of the district early Sunday.

The arrestees are Md Zakir Hossain, 28, Md Kamal Howlader, 26, of Miapara village, Mehedi Hasan Foysal, 29, of Paschim Patrail village under Bhanga upazila, and Md Tulu Chowdhury, 32, of Char Dattapara village in Shibchar upazila of Madaripur.

“The gang stole around Tk 1,11,997 from a bKash account of Md Ashraful Islam on September 16 in 2018. A team of Rab-8 arrested them at Miapara village around 4:30am on Sunday and seized 25 mobile sets, 114 SIM cards, one tab and two power banks from there,” Talukder Najmus Sakib,   Company Commander of Rab-8 in Faridpur said.
