3 PWD engineers suspended

Three engineers of Public Works Department (PWD), Kushtia Circle, were suspended for their negligence in conducting the construction works of Kushtia Medical College Hospital (KMCH) properly.

The suspended PWD officials are executive engineer Shafiul Alam Hannan, deputy executive engineer Abdul Motaleb and sub assistant engineer Abdur Rashid.    

Ashish D'Costa, executive engineer, Jashore Circle, has been given the additional charge of Kushtia while Shafiqur Rahman, deputy executive engineer of Magura PWD, will do additional duty  to the post in Kushtia.

The three-member investigation committee, led by Additional District Magistrate Azad Jahan, in its probe report also blamed the construction firm Zohirul Limited for their irregularities and faults in the building construction.
