Kidnapped or missing?

Over two months into the incident, a three-year-old missing boy is till traceless.

The victim is Reaz Babu, son of trader Azizul Islam of Baroi para area in Nilphamari municipality.

Azizul in a chocked voice said his son went to his maternal grandfather's house beside their residence on October 14 and had breakfast there with family members.

Babu also played with other children in the house yard till 10:00am and since then he went missing, said the father.

“We apprehend that Babu was abducted but none has contacted me for ransom till now,” he added.

Regarding the matter, the victim's father filed a general diary with Sadar Police Station the same night and also informed the local camp of Rab-13, seeking help for rescue of his son.

Later, Rab arrested a suspect from the area and interrogated him but failed to get any information about the boy's whereabouts.

“There are no ponds and ditches near their house to suspect that Babu might have drowned. How long I'd wait to get back my son?” said the victim's mother Rehena Begum in tears.

Former councillor of Nilphamari municipality Shamsul Islam said, with expansion of the municipality area, a number of new people started staying in rented houses for doing business or job and many of their past record is unknown. This abduction might be committed by such a quarter.

Sadar Police Station OC Babul Aktar said they are trying their best to rescue the boy.
